I’ve always loved Knights of the Old Republic and I’m intrigued by The Old Republic, an upcoming MMORPG by LucasArts. They’re saying that the game is going to revolutionize MMOs, combining the freeform play with mission-driven play. We’ll see. The likelihood of this game coming to Mac is slim, so I probably won’t ever play it, but I still like to keep up on the news....

Original "Empire Strikes Back" Phone Promos →
Every Star Wars fan needs to check this out. Before Empire came out in 1980, a marketing campaign was run that included these voicemails by the characters on an official Star Wars hotline. Each month, a different character left their message on the hotline. ’80s marketing genius!

I love drafting e-mails days before sending them. The officialness of the whole idea gets me really excited. I know, it’s horribly geeky, but that’s what I get for learning from TV geeks and starting to produce. Second only to drafting e-mails is sending them to large groups. Try to contain your excitement, Tumblr.

Stargate Franchise Says Goodbye to Cooper →
Robert C. Cooper, one of the most instrumental contributors to the Stargate franchise is moving on. This GateWorld article looks at his amazing work over the last 13 years and gives him a chance to speak for his experiences with the franchise. His thoughts are heartfelt and beautiful. Working on TV and video projects myself, I know how emotionally connected one can get to their work and...

Stargate Universe: Season One
After what feels like only a few weeks, the first season of the Stargate franchise’s third series is over. It’s been quite the ride since October aboard the Destiny. I started posting weekly reviews of each episode after the midseason premiere, “Space,” so I figured I’d write this retrospective to pay some honors (and maybe a few dishonors) to the first half of the...

This article is really interesting and, at the bottom of the page, is one of my favorite Revenge of the Sith trailers! Great find, Emma!

Stargate Universe: 1x20 "Incursion, Part 2"
With the end of “Incursion” comes the end of the first season. Universe has been getting more and more action-heavy since the mid-season premiere, “Space.” “Incursion” really shows off Universe’s ability to showcase an entirely different kind of action than the rest of Stargate franchise. With limited gunfire and space battles, the show finds a way to...

R.I.P. Macintosh? No. →
The chatter I’ve seen around the web over the last few days about the possibility of Apple actually discontinuing the Mac or overhauling OS X with the future of iOS is the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard. Apple’s philosophy is grounded in the Macintosh. Mac has become the backbone of many creative industries. iPod, iPad, and iPhone all thrive on the Mac. Imagining a world where...

So I realized I hadn’t posted anything related to The Morning Show in a while. Isabel and I are still hard at work planning all the details of the show. She’s coming up with some hilarious segment concepts and I’m still chuggin’ away on the show’s graphics. Here’s a little taste of some of our graphics. This is the prototype stinger for our “Morning...
