Half-hour scifi comedy makes it to pilot
Paul McGillion, who played the late Dr. Beckett on Stargate Atlantis, is starring in the pilot of Captain Starship. The show follows McGillion’s character, an actor in an always-tacky scifi series. The show is said to have an edgy and 30 Rock-inspired sense of humor. The folks at GateWorld say it’s worth watching and I usually trust their taste.
Other Stargate actors make appearances in the pilot, including Michael Shanks himself.
The pilot is being screening in LA this weekend and will hopefully get picked up by a network. Fingers crossed!
